Our Local Governing Body

Since joining The Painsley Multi Academy Company, St. Filumena's has formed a local governing body. This committee continues to oversee the strategic work of the school and is directly responsible to The Painsley Multi Academy Company Board of Directors.

Certain responsibilities have been delegated to the local governing body, which are reported to the board of directors on a regular basis.

What the committee members can do:

The committee members are responsible for making sure the school is run so children are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

They are involved in:

  • Supporting the direction, policies and objectives of the school
  • Supporting and challenging the Principal

What Committee Members can’t do:

The local governing committee is a group. They do not hold any legal responsibility but work locally to support the aims of the directors and report to the directors on the progress of the invidual school.

Please find below details of how our local governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor. We have also provided a Register of Governor Interests and an Annual Statement of Issues for your information.
